Mdina Night by

A quiet night in Mdina, the old capital of Malta. The dome in the background belongs to the 18th century Co-Cathedral of St. Paul. When the Knights of St. John arrived in Malta in 1530 they preferred to build towns according to a grid pattern. Previously the streets were built to the delightfully haphazard plan evident even in this restricted view of a narrow alley off the bastion square. Pentax K10D, 5 sec, f 10, ISO 100, 45 mm lens.
