The Tatra mountains seen from Strbske Pleso, Slovakiaby M G Pettett
The building in the foreground is a hotel and the white expanse in the extreme foreground is the frozen lake (Pleso means mountain lake in Slovakian. Strba is the name of the village below the High Tatras). Original pic specs: Pentax K10D, 1/250 sec, f8, zoom set at 50mm, ISO 320
Wonderful shot! I too use the K10D. I don’t know about you , but I love my camera.
Thanks, Thomas. Yes I like the K 10D too, though I have been wondering about upgrading to the K 20D with its external flash socket and liveview functions (the extra resolution does not attract me particularly).

these mountains kinda remind me of the Gore Mountains of Colorado
Love the light on the mountains and the foreground – it really makes the shot
Thank you Stuart.

I already had this one in my favorite shots. Not just because I am Slovakian. But because its amazing shot. Nice to see you been there. Good luck.
Thanks very much Lukas. From the little I saw of your country it’s an amazingly beautiful place.
