Sunset near Widemouth Bay, North Cornwall, UK. Taken on the 30th June 2009 at 8:50 pm. Pentax K10D, HDR, 3 exposures, 2 EV apart, f 16, ISO 100, 18 mm lens. Looks quite similar to non-HDR picture! Published in the Cornish Guardian on 15 July 2009 (as a B/W pic – go figure!).

    love the contrast between harshness in the foreground and the stillness of the sea. It reminds me of how the indian ocean sometimes shows himself here (reunion island), when the stillness of the lagoon meets the fury of the waves, the rocks look very much like lava.
    Love the silence in this image as well.
