Cupola, St. George's Basilica, Gozo

This cupola is one of several richly decorated cupolas in this church, which can be found just off the main square (It-Tokk) in Victoria, the capital of the island of Gozo, Maltese archipelago. The people of Gozo are very religious, the majority of them attending church regularly. The Maltese people in general are very proud of their churches and this is reflected in their size and the rich interior decoration of most of them. Pentax K10D.
