Xewkija
A typical village in Gozo (Maltese archipelago). Large church around which cluster the squat, flat-roofed, limestone-built houses; a patchwork of tiny fields on the village boundary; rubble walls, prickly pear and brown fertile earth everywhere.
The name is pronounced “show-key-ya”. Pentax K 10D.
