Mother and foal

Taken near St. Breward, Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. This is a typical scene around this time of the year (July) where these wild ponies congregate. The foal was very young and fell heavily while trying to follow its mother across the ditch (behind it in the picture) just before I took the shot. Annoyingly the subjects in the original were a bit soft (though I’ve done my best with the software), hence only on sale as cards.
Pentax K 10D, 1/800 sec, f 7.1, ISO 200, zoom set at 180 mm.
