"Kilrush Bridge, County Clare, Ireland" by

Oil painting (original sold) of Kilrush Bridge in the lovely county of Clare, Ireland. In the distance is St Senan’s Church. This view of Kilrush Bridge is seldom seen and should you ever visit this beautiful town, do take a drive to Cappa and on your way back, note the bridge.

When I see this, I get a strange feeling of Dijon vu. That’s the feeling you get when you think you’ve tasted the same mustard before!
Wonderful job! I think this may be the other side of the bridge to mine? Tony.

Thank you barnsis, sheila and A90six.
A90six, I think its the same side, except your photo shows the slice gate under the bridge. I did this painting from the hotel side. (marina side). I took the reference photo on the steel bridge and that why so many people miss this view and I was so impressed with your photo because you found the spot.

Oh I love this view……you are making me homesick Avril. The detail in this is wonderful. I’d heard of cappa from my mother who spent time there as a child and she always loved it.

  • Thank you Saleire. You will enjoy our little corner of Ireland and if ever you are out west, please contact me, you will be most welcome. The best places are to be found off the tourist tracks.
