'Prayer' - Oil Painting
Oils on canvas (12×16 inches)
What a delight to paint this beautiful child! I love painting so much and this little girl with her sweet and innocent beauty captured everything I would wish for children all over the world. I don’t know who she really is but I named her ‘Sarah’.
So, for my little ‘Sarah’ and all the little ‘Sarahs’ all over the world:
An Irish Prayer
May God give you…
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.
My thanks to Anna on SXU for her permission to use her photograph as reference for this painting. I put the candle in the painting because I wanted the soft light on the little girls face, glowing and warm.

Absolutely amazing creation. The eyes are beautiful and full of Grace. Detail is excellent,a dn the candle sheds light so well. Prayer is a way of talking with God. many do not take time to pray. Hope this will inspire others to pray. This is so precious Avril.
