Named ‘George’s Head’ because it resembled the old King’s features, this is a landmark of great beauty in County Clare, Ireland. Long walks along the beach all the way around the Cliffs and views that take your breath away. I have long believed the the area around Loop Head is the most beautiful in Ireland.

Thanks Arie… I am struggling to take a better picture. The sea is actually more blue on the original but somehow it’s one of those paintings that just cannot be photographed.

Your seascapes are really quite superb Avril. The feeling of “ruggedness” comes through loud and clear. The treatment and choice in finish lends an almost primeval feeling to the overall atmosphere…..very nicely executed oil work.
PS – I have relatives in Galway and Tipperary, I really must get over there….thanks for reminding me :)
