I have no words to describe what I feel reading your poem!! In one way it hurts and my heart gets heavy. But then I feel the truth, love and honety behind it.
Especially I like the love described, not between lovers, but between Friends you trust equl if man or woman!

Shar…as I sit here with fresh tears in my eyes (yesterday was spent crying the whole damn day) I shake my head in wonder at the glory that is YOU. i mean…,man! You have been such a huge gift to me, from the moment we met; have changed my life and heart in so many ways, it in inconceivable! You, I really do feel, were introduced to me as a gift from my mother; there is something about you, about us, that has always been. congrats on your well desrved feature…i have only just been introduced to your lovely work but I can relate to special friendships often stronger than family…....i feel your work in progress and the special connection you have….i beieve in life what goes round comes round so i gift you my imagination of a childhood carousel…with ligh organ music and laughter and friendship…embrace it now even if for a few moments and alow this to be embedded in your memory when and if you need it…for we all need to connect with our child within….even as adults and if robbed of this we can create new images to take us to safe shores..Thank you for sharing ..angelx

It can be so good.. so good.
I beleive that one has found a harbor when one is understood.
And one is understood when one does not feel ….fear.
The ones I fear….they bring me war.
Even they do not try to hurt me…they do.
And then…when one is seing that the stolen is returned
what bliss is greater?

An honest heartfelt tale of compassion….truly there is no greater sin than the theft of the innocence of childhood. The atrocities against children are heinous, particularly when committed by ones in charge of nurturing and protecting. Yes it does make us want to hug them all and give Safe Harbor

Had I not been at the library, struggling to hold back tears, they would have ran down my face. Keep up such magnificent writing.
