View To the Water Garden
UF 5.2; Apo 2.0 for the butterfly; my own gradients
Some of you probably know what tends to happen when you’re making a fractal image, and get a “big idea”....lol…..it somehow grows and grows, and gets almost out of control! (and in some cases, does indeed get out of control!) This came from the idea I suddenly had to try and make a window view out onto the flowers I had already made…....well, at least it only took me one evening, and not days, to do it! I really need to watch those crazy ideas that come popping into my itty brain…...!!
11 layers, and no masking, believe it or not, unless you count taking the opacity of the solid color down to transparency…...and trans grads in the butterfly layers. Other than that, no masking involved!
Okay, if anyone’s interested, it goes like this:
Something Else Julia formula for the three flower layers, TrapestryX outside coloring for those layers, and the Triptych mapping, and then Lake mapping found in jbo.ufx …....
Standard Pixel formula and Jos Frames outside coloring for the three frame layers: one of the layers, I rotated, and in two of the layers, in the param tab, I put 3 columns, and 1 row – that’s how I got the window effect! ta da! The third frame layer was for the outside (the pink frame).
The two curtain layers were taken from another fractal I had done a while back; I tweaked and tweaked the colors, and added mapping (Dual mapping, in ldm.ufx). For now, I’m not giving away the rest of my secret for making sheer white curtains, LOL! Let’s just say it took a LOT of experimentation, and tweaking, and patience! It was a real blessing when it actually worked! (whew! ya just never know with these things!)
The butterfly is one I made in Apophysis 2.0 long ago, and have been importing to various UF images ever since…...lol! Three layers there, various merge modes, just trying sooo hard to get it to look right…....I think I succeeded pretty well…... I do like the results, anyway, and hope you all enjoy it too!

Thanks so much, viennablue! I’m thrilled with the way it came out, and never even thought before of trying something like this! I’m kind of astounded, really…...lol!
