The tube is packed, standing room only. Eyes bore a hole, is it the Berka or just being Muslim that instigates the suspicious, sideways glances of fellow passengers? Doesn’t matter, won’t be long, need to calm down else it could happen all to soon.
Perspiration seeps from pores, time passes so slowly, too slowly.
Look at those seated, men and women both old and young. Have none of them noticed the bulge? Obviously not, nothing is said, ‘I must act now’.
Approaching the youngest passenger, nervous yet realising there is no other way she says, ‘Excuse me, I am heavily pregnant could I please sit down’?
A challenge if you like, can you see beyond the obvious?
Brought up on a diet of superheroes, warlocks and demons it was inevitable that I would sucumb to the temptations of the pencil!!

Excellent piece of Flash Fiction mate, you should consider joining.
I have, and I have submitted this to the group, think I need to be accepted into the rank?

Wait, this is your first written work on RB? We need to commemorate this day with something!
Considering the length, this is actually a very good read, especially from the Muslim lady’s perspective. I’m Muslim too, just to let you know….
PS: cool new avatar. :D
Thank you TF, very much appreciated.
