Went to Hendricks Park today to check out if any rhodies were flowering, started off with nice weather, however once we were on top of the hill this is what hit us and hit us hard. I continued to shoot a few shots, while my husband held a large umbrella over the camera. I told him, not to worry about me but protect the camera. It snowed like this for quite awhile but once it stopped, the snow did’nt stay too long, but it was really pretty. Cant wait to get back there when all the rhodies and azaleas are in bloom.
Wow! This is Beautiful! Love the flakes, and great composition. In fact, the trees in the background add to the beauty of this photo; looks like a painting!
Hi Heeb, this was taken yesterday. We went to Hendricks Park to check for rhodies.Sun was shining when got there, then all of a sudden it got dark and down it came . I stil kept shooting, while Fred covered the camera with an umbrella, meanwhile I was covered in snow, there was so much snow on the umbrella it almost collapsed..Thanks for the fav.

There was a lot of snow John as you can see. The weatherman forecast a “few snow flurries”but we never tend to beleive them anymore, however he was half right, we got snow, but this was much more than a snow flurry.. However 40 minutes later it was all gone, it did’nt stick around.
Congrats on the feature! I remember that day; it feels like a month ago, not just a week:) Then we had all that sun and I was starting to believe Spring was on its way…then reality kicked in this weekend:)

Yep, I’m a local. Well, I grew up in Philadelphia and have lived in Holland and Japan, but I think of Oregon as my true home (my father was born and raised here and my parents met at UO). We should do an All Oregon USA photo shoot when the weather gets a little better!
Sounds like a plan as there are several RB’ers here in Springfield, Eugene and Veneta.. we could have a group day out, that would be fun. By the time the weather is better Hendricks Park will be ablaze with rhodies and azaleas.
