Two weeks ago while walking up a country road with our dog, a car pulled over suddenly, with a man wanting to meet Gemini, our English Golden Cocker Spaniel. He was a Painter heading home after a days work (painting a house) at the end of the road. He introduced himself and asked if Gemini was entire as he had a bitch he wanted to mate.
Rosie and Gemini were introduced and enjoyed getting to know one another. They swam in the creek, ran in the park, chased each other around the trees becoming best of friends. Rosie stayed with us for about five days. She is the most sweet natured Golden Cocker Spaniel (besides Gemini) that we have ever met.
When her owners picked her up to go back home, Gemini howled and then withdrew for two days. Rosie came back today for a visit and Gemini was ok this time when they left. He knows he will see her again.
Stay tuned for the results.
