Artist's Description

Timber: Australian Red Cedar
Size: 8" by 9"

The male model for this Australian stamp back in 1950 was called “One Pound Jimmy”, an Indigenous Australian named Gwoja Tjungarrayi of the Anmatyerr people in Central Australia. Apparently he got his nick name because he always said “One Pound” when asked how much for his handmade boomerangs.

This original piece is a gift to a very special friend (and stamp collector) in California.
