The Church of the Heavenly Rest is an Episcopal church on the Upper East Side of New York City, located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 90th Street, opposite Central Park. The church was founded in 1865 as a memorial to soldiers who had died in the American Civil War.

    wow Roddy – did you lay on the floor to get this shot?? what a great POV and the stained glass windows and the lights along the sides against the B&W of the walls and pews – just marvelous.

  • Thank you so much Jane! lol, not sure I’d feel comfortable lying on the floor at a place of worship. I had taken 3 different shots on tripod with the intention of stitching them but after I had done the stitch I decided I preferred this one which was the upper of the 3.
