Originally built in the thirteenth century the category A listed building Kelburn Castle is the home of the current Earl of Glasgow. The graffiti came about when the Earl of Glasgow was told the concrete facings were in bad condition and would need to be redone to save the stone underneath. The Earl’s children had the idea for the graffiti as a way to bring the public to see it and raise money for the refacing. They contacted the four best Brazilian graffiti artists to work on the project, all of them staying in the castle for a month and collaborating on design ideas. Artists: Os Gemeos (identical twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo), Nina, and Nunca
