The Quiraing is a landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. March 2010.

2 hand held exposures, tone mapped from a Canon 5d Mark II, EF16-35 2.8 L II and processed with Photomatix, Raw and Photoshop.

    It is a totally different colour isn’t it – mine was pre any use of photoshop days so it looks as it did. I can understand your girlfriend getting blown off – it’s certainly is exposed up there. Gorgeous on the top. We had to help a man down who was scared of heights!

  • When we started the walk, we met a pregnant lady who was on her own but when she got to the 1st dodgy bit she sensibly decided to turn back.
