This picture was taken in Sweden in 1919. On the right is my then 13 year old great-grandfather, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 99. his brother and 2 sisters and his parents. 4 years after this picture was taken my great-grandfather would board a ship bound for the US, where he would remain for more than 80 years. He did however, get to go back to Sweden for a visit in the 1990’s.
