From the Bill signing:
Governor Doyle with a grateful constituent.

Many in Wisconsin have been working for years to get smoke free air legislation passed.

Even Lance Armstrong tried to help.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2009, the Wisconsin Legislature passed smoke free air legislation.
On Monday, May 18, 2009, Governor Jim Doyle signed that bill into law making Wisconsin the 27th smoke free state.
The law will take effect on July 5, 2010.

I love this photo! He has done alot for our state.

  • Our celebration was short lived. The Joint Finance Committee cut our budget 45% and most everyone thinks it’s a done deal. Now we have to redo our budgets and decide what/who gets cut.

I’m so happy about the smoke free legislation. I have allergies and asthma and try to avoid places that have smoking. It will be so nice to be able to enjoy all of Wisconsin in this way.

  • I agree!
