Black & White filmLocation: Madison, WI
This little lady from my neighborhood obviously let me know that she did NOT want her picture taken. I think it’s a hoot! This is one of my few attempts with black & white film.
Thanks for checking my portfolio. Greatly appreciated.
This is a great photo – her expression is priceless!
Love the expression! Really good photo in black&white, have to say. The contrast is just the right one for this photo – and the model is so darn cute!
Kiitos Riikka. I was not very successful when I tried black and white, so I didn’t stick with it for very long. Part of the problem is that at the time, there were only 2 companies that worked in BW at the time and the quality of the prints was poor. I couldn’t afford or had the space for a dark room to do my own. I think this is the only good shot that turned out.
oh dear…that is definitely a case of “bad hair”
i love the expression in her eyebrows :) excellent composition and positioning of her!
Thanks, I really appreciate your comments. She really was unhappy with me.
Interesting and beautiful photo!
Thanks much Ellen.
this is very sweet
Thanks for looking, commenting and favoriting!
This kid have character! Love the expression of her face, have a good week end :)
I have to agree with you Norah, there is so much character in her expression. I even find character in her hair. I have a feeling that she has grown up to be a a woman you don’t mess around with.
wonderful expression- great hair
Yes, I love it too! Thanks for checking out my work.
“The harder they come, the harder they fall…” Perfect timing – great capture.
this is classic! the expression is priceless and i love the graininess of the b&w film. wonderful!
Thank you KellyJo for checking out my work & commenting. I didn’t last long w/ BW, mostly because the processing results were not consistent. Being an apartment dweller, I don’t have the options (and funds) to do my own. I do like BW & admire work in it that is done well.
