Canon PowerShot SX260 HS; 1/40s, f/4.5, ISO 125, focal length 11.2mm; AUTO setting

As my husband emptied the trash at the recycling center, I noticed from the car window this complicated looking structure where the compactor and the trailer were connected, so out came the camera. A little bit of tuning brought out all these colors. I can honestly say this “art” stinks!

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

  • Sherri, you crack me up! I can’t find any beauty in this, and it sure did smell, but I though it was pretty interesting and complicated anyway. Thanks for making me laugh, and yes, I think about things like that, too. Who sat around and figured out all these crazy connections? I need some pretty spring flowers to shoot soon!!!
