I took this photo through the open window on the driver’s side of the car, while I was sitting on the passenger side. The peacock was strolling along in a park in Seminole, Florida, and left the park just after this. I never got to see his beautiful tail in the raised position. Maybe next time.

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

Great photo AuntDot,brings back memories from the past years ago l had gone to the pub for the night out and on my way home came across one dancing in the middle of the road with his tail feathers out, so l don’t know who he was showing off too but it was funny at the time, and l had to shoo him off the road to pass him
That’s a great story! I’ve never seen one in real life with his tail up…I’d love to one day. Thanks very much!
