Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

Terrific shot of this fine bird Dot, that really is a red eye, nice shine and sparkle there and lovely clarity.
Thank you so much, Morag. Do you think there’s enough shine there for the Glitter group? I wasn’t sure.

Wow – so do I! Beautiful capture, Dot!
Thanks so much, Monnie. So nice when a bird stands still for awhile so you can get a decent shot!

This is really nice Dot. I’ve tried photographing birds but I’m not quick enough for them.
Thank you, my friend. Some birds just stand there and pose. Those are the ones I look for. LOL Not too good at capturing a flying bird, however.
