Canon PowerShot SX260 HS; 1/160s, f/4.0, ISO 100, Focal length 4.5mm (35mm equivalent 27mm); AUTO setting

I see a blue poppy in this rock macro. Also a man and women looking at each other eye to eye. What do you see?

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

I see a poppy definitely! And if I turn my head slightly to the left, it resembles a face (perhaps a lady with a pompadour hairdo — her nose is just to the right of the poppy, her eye is the dark spot and she’s looking toward the sky). A fun one, Dot – lots of possibilities!

  • Oh yes! I hadn’t seen that before! The poppy stem becomes the outline of her profile. Sharp nose and her eye looking up. Now I’ll see two things whenever I look at this. Thanks!!!

  • Yikes! Now I see the profile of a stern-faced man looking at the woman. Another dark spot is his eye, and he has a slightly down-turned mouth and a small owl-like nose. Wow! I wonder what else is in there!!!

Well seen! I can also see a couple of animal-like faces there too but the poppy is the star

  • Thank you, Christina!

I see the poppy as well what wonderful colour tones.

  • Thank you, Karen. Did you see the man and woman looking directly at each other?

I see the poppy but like Monnie I see a lovely face in profile.

  • Thanks, Betty. Do you see the man she’s looking at? They are looking eye to eye.

I see him, Dot! But she looks more interested in him than he is in her.

  • Yes, he looks a little stern, I thought! :-))

Two faces looking at each other… woman and man… and the poppy, too!

  • Good! I’m not crazy then?
