Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D; 1/200s, f/10, ISO 200, focal length 42.0mm

I spotted these two men washing windows outside a resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida. They didn’t have to have vertigo – I had it for them!

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

LOL!! Great title and great shot. I know I couldn’t do that.

  • Thanks, Carolyn. Not the usual scaffold you see window washers use. These were just hanging from those cables! Not too high up, though. They are pretty brave anyway!

Good grief – they’re doing it the hard way without a scaffold (or so I’d think, but then I wouldn’t be up there anyway)! Very cool capture, Dot!

  • Thanks, Monnie. You wouldn’t get me to hang from one cable like that, but I guess somebody has to do it!

Love the title& the shot! I’m not comfortable with heights and it took my daughters into their twenties to realise that I insisted on holding their hands on escalators was more for my comfort than as they put it “their safety”!! I now have a daughter who loves climbing ice waterfalls etc – crazy and obviously has her father’s genes in that respect!

  • Ha, ha….isn’t that always the way! I hate to fly, and all three daughters would fly anywhere, anytime. They got that from their father. I like my feet on the ground, thank you. I appreciate your thoughtful comments, Kay! Thanks!
