A muscovy duck walking at the edge of a small pond in Ocala, Florida. I can’t decide if this kind of duck is ugly or beautiful, but I know they can be pretty pesky in a park setting and are sometimes removed and relocated because too many of them make too big a mess.

Sort of looks as if this guy got between Jackson Pollock and a canvas! Very cool critter – like you, I’m torn between pretty and ugly, but you sure got a great photo!
LOL Love your description! Thanks so much, my friend!

Seven hours later and I’m still chuckling over your Jackson Pollock comment every time I think of this duck!
I think you are pretty too… adorable capture Dot… lovely markings.
You are very kind to say this duck is pretty. There were several of them and they were so curious I thought they were going to fly up into the car through the open window! We had to move on, as there was traffic coming up behind us, but I would have loved to get an even closer shot. This one is cropped somewhat.
We have the muscovy’s here too Dot. Some are so beautiful and then again, some are not, but all beautiful in their own way. LOL! Great capture. :)
Thank you, Kathy. I was surprised they were so curious…..I thought they were going to get in the car with me. Usually wildlife turns and goes the other way when I try to photograph them.

Thanks, Bill. There’s always a controversy about what to do with the Moscovy ducks. They do make a mess!

A fabulous capture, Dot …. I do agree with you about the question of his beauty …. as long as Mrs Muscovy loves him:-)))
LOL I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder! Thanks much, Brenda!
