I found this long-winged insect at rest on the outside of my house. It was blending with the tan stucco, so I’ve given it some filter work in Photoshop7 to help set it off better. The original photo is below. It’s official. My bug expert, Michaela has identified this as a kind of Antlion called Distoleon tetragrammicus. She says, “Antlions are found world wide; mainly in arid and desert/sandy areas but are adapting to survive in different conditions all over the world.” Thank you, Michaela!!
