Lovebirds: A New Generation by

A followup to my daughter’s lovebird family (peach-faced lovebirds). Tuffie (upper left), the survivor after the loss of his sibling, Hatch, has grown into a beautiful adult Lovebird. Birdie and Ralph’s next clutch included Clover and Peeps (upper right), who are less than two months old. A third baby from that clutch didn’t make it, unfortunately. There are six new eggs again in the nest! Then I think Birdie and Ralph, the parent birds, will need a rest!

About AuntDot

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and carry a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera with me most of the time.

They are so beautiful! I had no idea that peachfaced lovebirds came in such a great variety of colors. A wonderful collage, Dot!

  • Hi Judy. The two younger ones will probably change a little in color. I never knew there were different kinds of lovebirds. They’re such cute little birds, and being hand raised/fed, these just love to be in someone’s hand or neck. Thanks much!
