Red-Shouldered Hawk
Scientific Name: Buteo lineatus
These birds are found in moist open forests, bottomlands and other wet lands throughout the U.S. The hawk eats a variety of prey including small mammals, birds, frogs, snakes, lizards, snails and insects.
