A Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) at the Butterfly Rainforest, part of the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Never worry about that…not with me anyway… much more important I FEEL to just do the FAVS which puts the art into the FEED as it was explained to me… true, yes???? and of course the commenting is just so important to us all… Lots of people do not respond to the comments…. and I am just understanding that part… as they feel their time is better spent in COMMENTING to OTHERS and FAVING others work…. I TEND TO AGREE with that mindset… and as we are on here longer and longer and get more and more people on our WATCHLIST it is harder and harder to have the time for some of us to answer the comments and still have time to LOOK THRU THE NEW WORKS which to me is where I want to spend my time, and then commenting on it…. phew, I’m tired… LOL anyway I so appreciate COMMENTS AND FAVS…. but you sure don’t have to tell me Dot… believe me I love that you did it… and thanking people for FAVS is ONE thing that I have already had to stop… Just not enough time in the day!!!! lol doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate it at ALL!!!!! :)))))
oh my sorry bout that book up there Dot!!! LOL now back to my Chores!!!! LOL
LOL My sentiments exactly! I try to remember to acknowledge the faves and to comment on everyone’s everything, but there really aren’t enough hours in the day. I’m always telling myself I must cut down!!

Very beautiful work:~)
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement, Rose! Much appreciated!
Another stunner Dot. You are the queen of the butterflies LOL. Beautiful work my friend x
Thanks, Angela. Better than being the queen bee I suppose! LOL You should see how many I had to delete due to poor focus. I’ll have to go back again one of these days. The guide said it’s easier to photograph them when the temps are in the mid 60’s and 70’s. Now while it’s very hot, they fly around much more.

Gorgeous detail and colour, I wish we had these butterflies in England! Excellent work.
Thanks very much for your great comment, Paul.

Gorgeous capture Dot. I have only seen a few Monarchs so far this summer & never lucky enough to capture one.
Thanks so much, Brenda. I wouldn’t have captured a Monarch if it hadn’t been at the butterfly museum. Do you have such a place near you?
