Purple coneflowers (echinacea Purpurea) blooming in the garden area in front of the public library in Dunnellon, Florida.

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

Beautifully done, lovely colour combination !

  • Thanks, Morag. These little flowers seemed so happy and carefree in this grouping, if flowers can be such!

    Very joyful view!!

  • I thought they looked rather happy go lucky! Like they were dancing in the sunshine. Funny, all the other coneflower plants were about finished, drab and not very pretty, but this one was doing terrific! Glad I found it!

Nice Coneflower AuntDot! Wish mine was that prolific, I have 1 bloom LOL!

  • All the other coneflower plants there were nearly dead or at least very drab. This plant was just as perky as could be. Maybe next year yours will multiply and have more blooms. Thanks for your comment!
