The rather long and wooded entrance road to the Rainbow Springs State Park near Dunnellon, Florida, provides a safe haven for deer, turtles, and other wildlife. These two fawns were lagging behind their mother. I took the shot through the car window. I didn’t expect to see them today, as the park is filled with people on this warm Saturday. Fortunately, drivers respect the slow speed limits and keep an eye out for the wildlife in the area.
