My husband was driving on the entrance road to Rainbow Springs State Park, Dunnellon, Florida, when we spotted this doe just within the park fence. We stopped so I could get a shot from car window. I saw her look behind her and realized she had a fawn partially hidden behind some trees. I was happy to get a shot of both of them. ( See Doe and Fawn in Dunnellon) It was a cloudy day with on again off again rain this 4th of July. The deer have free access to the park entrance, but probably feel safer within the park boundaries, so they are often seen there.
