Canon PowerShot SX260 HS; 1/200s, f/5.6, ISO 800, focal length 37.2mm; AUTO setting

As my husband emptied the trash at the recycling center, I noticed from the car window this complicated looking structure where the compactor and the trailer were connected, so out came the camera. I can honestly say this “art” stinks, just like its companion piece It’s a Watchamacallit!

Having lived most of my life in the northeast U.S., I am enjoying retired life in sunny Florida. I enjoy photographing many different kinds of things, but especially flowers and animals, including the beautiful birds found here in Florida. I am currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, a Canon 55-250 mm telescopic zoom lens, and a Sony P10 Cyber-shot digital camera. My newest acquisition is a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS, a point and shoot which I will be carrying in my purse.

Ahhhhhh, rust and a screw and thread and a cog along with beautiful color….a girl photographer’s dream! Well done, Dot! Sandy

  • Love your enthusiasm, Sandy. It’s just a smelly part of the garbage facility, but I guess the colors make it a little “girly”…LOL
