When the Dumbo Comes I Exit through an Opening in My Head

Artist's Description

This painting is 0.9metres height by 3.6 metres long and is a diptych made up of When the Dumbo Comes I Exit Through a Door in My Head and When the Dumbo Comes I Exit Through My Mouth as I Yell. It is the evil cousin of Ice Cream Cone Man Down where we see what actually may have happened to That 3 Headed Dude in the Corner whereas this image is what all the major papers are carrying on their front page. When the Dumbo Comes shows clearly that there is large Dumbo Octopi that are attacking civilisation and that our intrepid fighting trio were cowardly and ineffective against the Dumbo might. Is it time for the government to step in and declare a Code Red. This takes a look at big media, what sells papers and how much of the truth is needed when compiling a good story that will hook the readers and maintain enough fear to keep them coming back to find out more.
Though this is the fourth in the series , I painted this last. I wanted a raw sketchy character which I knew I would get due to the time constraint. This was painted over a period of 40 hours in 2 days with the last painting session going from 9 pm through to 11am the next morning without a break. I wasnt necessarily trying to be heroic but in the end it suited the themes being portrayed. And I proved to myself it was indeed possible to seriously mess with ones mind through sleep deprivation. Mixed media – 90 cm x 360cm.
