awesome abstract! i like that all these emotional strokes are inside a restricted shape, that might want to explode from this intensity :)

  • Thanks Marianna. I myself didn’t notice that about the painting but maybe you’re right.

Looking at ‘abstract’ artwork. One is sorely tempted to say, “but, absolutely anybody can do that?! After all, it’s just merely scribble here and there! You don’t need any special training to be able to achieve this; as it doesn’t have to be representative of anything at all!” However, there is another saying which goes, “anybody can be a critic; however, just you try walking in that person’s same shoes for the day; and, then, you will know!” I’ve tried doing ‘abstract’ art myself; in the hope that it would be easy; but, I learnt it’s every bit as difficult as doing ‘representative’ artworks. You need to have a special sense of balance over composition/colours/design/and, much of it has to be entirely ‘instinctive’; quite unlike copying representational subjects where, at least, you have something there to go and copy from; a physical clue to lead you on. However, for the abstract artist the clues lie entirely deep inside of themselves for nobody else to see?! Basically, you either got the feel/or else, you don’t. I’ve looked through all of your gallery; and, you’ve most definitely got the feel, alright; as you’ve managed to hit the nail straight on the head, again and again; producing wonderful work after wonderful work. All I can say is, I wish you well; and, hope you will be able to both live long; and, still keep on going ever so strong! ;-)

  • Hi Paul, nice to meet you. Your comments on abstract are right on the mark. Thanks so much for the compliment. I wish you happiness & success in the new year!
