My photographic intertests are broad. I like to explore the streets and industrial estates or sometimes absorb myself in a seascape. I change as my mood takes me and oportunities present themselves
a truly well executed architectural image Alan
Thank you very much ozzy
Thank you that is wonderful
One of my favorites of yours Alan. One thing I like about this is the tones.
By the way what are split tones to my uninformed eyes it looks like a straight B & W.
Thanks Andrew. I think there are a few ways to do split tone. The one I use is to desaturate in image drop down then in the same drop down go to duotone select some tones and adjust curves. If that makes sense, that way you can add a cold tint or warm.
I love well observed architectural work and this image has been heightened by your particular bw treatment – gorgeous use of angles and light.
Thank you very much Roger much appreciated
I like the monumentalism of this Athex and the split toning (although I have never tried it, it looks good here). I like the angle and the comp. It looks defiant ;-)
Thank you very much Rhoufi – the processing was a bit of an experiment that worked. If you google split tone you will find many complicted tutorials but I try to keep it simple.
one of your many finest Alan…. overall impact pow! like very much
Thabk you – appreciated
Really dynamic angle – great shot and tones Alan :)
Thank you very much
Beautiful tonework Alan
Thank you Andrew – finally got the shot I wanted of that building
incredible image Athex…at first, I thought it was a charcoal or ink rendering
Thank you Solomon I had seen this building in the distance a few times and it kept drawing me in. Finally got up close on a trip with my RB mate Andrew Bradsworth- if you have not done so already I suggest you have a look at his work.
I love how bold this picture is. Very strong composition and depth of focus.
Thank you much appreciated
