Fear of that thing so horrid,
the quell of a monster wracked
in fire and billowing heat fill’st
the hole left by the heart.
Tears at visages asunder of villainy,
the fearful visions of men tempest
and lewd, bent to curse the fates,
and doom withal.
Men, cursed to safeguard their hearts,
that image prone to precocious, irreversible change.
