Let Tears Fall

Let Tears Fall
Arab Spring, 2011

This year
Now
I’m so waiting for spring

No
Not the usual
I’m tired of the cold and wish for sun

This year
It is different
I’m craving the utter force of change

I want to witness
Earth howling
Ground snapping in a million ways

I want the old to die
Revolutions to transform
Poems to flower out of blood-soaked dirt

This year
Now
I want peace to be the violent birth

Let tears fall
After death has had its way
Let spring roar like a thunder river

Interesting perspective… and we shall see it continue to happen, as it has come to the Earth to suffer the loss of life already.

  • We are witnessing much pain and suffering, yet people can endure no more oppression, and are willing to pay the ultimate price…

I feel the change too. I know something is going on. Several people have commented about this feeling of change. The lunar about 2wks ago causing moonshadows was beautiful and I remember gazing upon it and feeling the change in the air.
Thankyou for sharing this write as it is hopeful and encouraging, Peace to you and yours always,
    MaryMac

  • I was out taking pictures of the moon at the time you mentioned. Check out my recent post “A Date with the Moon” for a photo of that awesome crimson moon!

    many thanks

Very moving and warm write! I’m in agreement with MaryMac and have felt the need for change, feel it coming on. I couldn’t agree more with the line “Let spring roar like a thunder river”….I think I’m ready for a change and I will embrace the wonder it brings. xo – E

  • Although this poem is dedicated to the “Arab Spring, 2011”, I agree with you that a wind of change is sweeping across the entire planet… An awakening for positive change!
