Basked in my glow
Reveled in your intoxicated senses

When strings of the world tugged back
demanding your attention
you scorned me for not going back with you

You scolded yourself
for wanting to stay with me
Called me your addiction

You quit me
Ran back without wings—
The ones you used to find me

Know that it is me who is addicted—
I live for your propinquity

Take me into your innermost
wilderness
Release me
Allow me to lose myself in you
You will find yourself then

You can take me anywhere

And with your new wings
you can dance in my flame
