Life

Look at me
Tangled threads
Strings of many colors
Across your screen

Look at me
Two bodies
One wears the other
Tailored to fit

Look at me
Each atom knows its neighbors
All pledged to one allegiance
Stars in a galaxy

You’ve expressed the mystery of our multiple beings so well in this intense poem, Assef. “Each atom knows its neighbours” and the sum is greater than the whole. A poem to meditate upon.

Sorry – I quoted wrongly – I should have said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” (gestalt idea I think – the strings and cells are not all that we are.

Intensely thankful Janice… I knew exactly what you meant ; )
