“All is written within the mind
To help and instruct the dervish
In dance and romance and prayer”

I watched, fascinated, as the massive snake / made its way from the roof / down the wall in front of me. / I held a long stick in my hand, tapped / the giant head as it slithered closer.
Why would I wake up with a wildflower- / covered world, death in China, and eternity?
But what was ignited? / Who lit the fuse?
Somewhere in a faraway galaxy / a young planet begins.
Poetry? I can only dream of waving a magical pen, like you did. / Of words dancing, bursting into allegorical stars
The word “Love” / is as tired as “God”.
