I know what you mean. lol . she a special puppy who some day will be a guide dog for a blind person. she a real sweet heart. and being raised in oregon. by a puppy raiser.

your right they never out grows those eyes. esp when they beg.
the dog I had before roxie was a lab a chareer change dog from my work place. I miss him. such a sweet dog.

Yes, our first lab was given to us b/c the owners couldn’t deal with her (she was a puppy). She was the sweetest dog. Yes we did go through a few pair of sandels, shoes, boots, and the list goes on…

She was worth it all. I learned more from her in the years we had her then all the people I’ve met.
I had a small outdoor garden structure business with a cafe and pottery studio, she, Joy, was my shadow, my watch dog and greeter for the business. When she passed, I lost a best friend. I was so sad my kids went out immediately and found a black lab at the local pound.

I swore up & down I didn’t want another dog (the kids were growing), I going to work at the hospital full time…but now I have Marley, not as soft as Joy, but just as sweet.

Thank you Kenny.. for you comments. this is one of the puppies from my work place.she now being raised. but a little girl some were in oregon. she being raised by what i call a puppy raiser.
the puppy will become a guide dog some day for a blind person

your sure right labs are excellent guide dogs.
we also have golden retrievers. we did have german sheperds but we are taking them out of our programs do to health problems that they get.
we also use crosses labs and goldens.

the german sheperd 45percent of them got hip deplasa. they also were harder to place if they were career changed .guide dogs have been using them for years. it was just this year that they decided to not use them any more… the labs and goldens are easier to place if the raiser don’t take them back if they are chareer changed.
guide dog breeds their own dogs. so they have over nine thousand dogs combinations of guides, breeding and retire breeders and puppies that are raised. though out usa.and canada.

Your 100% right I used to have a black Lab an it was the best dog on earth. Extremely loyal excellent with small children, playful, and an excellent watch dog

I work with them as a profession this pup is special she beening raised in oregon to be a future guide dog for a blind person.
i have another photo of a black lab title sophie and sophie the pup
there not as good but she cute with her markings.

closer to five months old if i remember. i think she was born in around December 15. between four and five months

i would but she being raised in oregon and i in california.
this photo was taken just before she left.. she may come back to california in august for the guide dog fun day. she also may become a breeder for guide dogs for the blind. which would be neat. when she full grown.
