My Reality

Awaking from a dream filled with memories of you
Fun and laughter, love and good times
Then I realised I had been sleeping
You were gone. And my life without you began again

Countless times I relive our past in dreams
But the hurt is never there
Until I wake and feel the pain in my heart
A decade without your touch. More like a lifetime.

I would give anything to hear your voice, to hold you close
To feel your breath on my face.
The love of my life. My heart and soul
I see you in my every thought.

I’ll sleep tonight, and hope you return
Even if it’s only my imaginary world
I’ll see you smile, and hear you laugh
And we’ll be together again.

Until I wake.

My Reality

I wrote this on May 6th 2007, after waking from a beautiful dream, to face reality. It sucked for a while, but the day finished and a new one began.
