Trumpeting the Stone was selected as a Featured Work by the groups Every Little Thing You Do in August 2011, and by Abstract Macro Urban Art and The Fine Art of Peeling Paint in February of 2010

Abstract art found on an old, rusting vehicle in a junkyard. Photographed by JD Brummer for As Eye See Photography.

Do you see what I do? An angel playing a trumpet, as if serenading the beautiful stone altar, in a pink dream-like undersea world.

You might think that the title was an obvious one. When in actuality it was inspired from a Trumpet Concerto by Brent Michael Davids with the same name.

Evoking emotions with her photographic interpretations of everyday objects is why JD Brummer’s abstract artistry has been exhibited in prestigious Art Galleries, juried Shows, winning Awards, & published in International Magazines, as well as Photographer’s Forum’s Annual Collection of The Best of Photography 2010 & 2011. Great shot! Fantastic colour combinations.
    …afraid I see a teddy too!

  • Thank you, Andrew. I’m just hoping that the enormous crashing wave that Sharon sees puts out the fire that Rich sees so that the teddy bear that everyone else sees lives a long and happy life!! :o)

hate to complicate things but i see a group, maybe the family who owned the car huddled together and a wave of light over them..the angel is watching…
These colours are truly wonderful, best rust pic I’ve seen so far!

  • I truly enjoy hearing what other people “see” in different images. That’s where a lot of the joy of Abstract Photography comes from for me. So, I don’t mind at all!

Thank you so much for your support and kind words. They’re always appreciated!
