“Where two raging fires meet together,
They do consume the thing that feeds their fury.
Though little fire grows great with little wind,
Yet extreme gusts will blow out fire and all.”

Inspired by the recent wildfires in Southern California, in this image I see “fury” in two opponents. One being a massive wilderness fire raging with billows of smoke, ever menacing. The opponent being someone’s bravery making a stand with their own “fury” in an attempt to battle the blaze.
In actuality, this abstract photograph is some rusted, aluminum siding splattered with tar that is being used as privacy fencing. Seen and captured in Tucson, Arizona’s Barrio Viejo district by JD Brummer.
