Things are not
Always what they seem
And people you meet
They can come and go
The road of life winds on
Up hill, down dale, crest and vale
Depending on your stance
It’s a day in the life
Hold to your ideals
Search for truth about yourself
Find your place in the world
And the worlds place for you
Take that place
Or make yourself anew
You will find that is
A day in the life
Face the pain of the past
Accept the pain of today
But whatever you do
Don’t expect pain tomorrow
Each day brings something new
The scars do slowly heal
And that my friend
Is a day in my life.
