A glance at Jeff Davis Peak shrouded in mystery by

It has happened on May 4, 2006 in the GBNP, Eastern Nevada, Snake Range. A window in shroud of mist has opened unexpectedly for about a minute. It was cloudy and dark around; however, some sort of Mystery was going on above Jeff Davis. It seemed like the God was in His Presence on the peak shinning in His Glory. Then a spectacular view has been covered by mist again. I feel I was blessed by having a chance to take a glance at the Mystery. Yes, there was something that muted the Euphoria like in every classic Western. Unfriendly ranger Ed has pulled off behind the vehicle with his flashlights on. He was a rookie, just temporarily employed, however he was veeeeery arrogant and tried to demonstrate all his power. Finally my friend, a retired police officer, gave ranger Ed an excellent lesson of courtesy. Every classic Western has a happy end!

What a wonderful moment you have captured here, my friend — and what a marvelous western tale woven to go with it!

    MORE, PLEASE!!

  • Thanks Arla. I appreciate your comment very much. You know that retired cop as we have visited you together just before I left NV. Indeed the story is much greater, however, I’m not a talented story-teller. The cop also told to the ranger among other things, “You know, my badge is nicer, much nicer!” Lol!

    geras darbas……..
    man patinka
    kokiame aukstyje buvai?
mano koju busena to neleidzia, o noreciau ……….

It was an Ansel Adams moment. Your feelings during this shot must have been how he felt at times. Gorgeous capture.

  • Thank you Bunny. Ansel Adams has passed away on April 22. April 22 is also the day when I was born. Unfortunately, I know too little about that stunning photographer. My feelings during this shot… Hm, it was uncertain form of mesmerism and “my heart was in my heal”.
