The Secret Garden

For marvellous Mama! ...the keeper of the secret green!
Ah, tis is summer and we have lost you to the green weans
with all their thirsty petaled little faces. Always a beautiful
place to be & all better is the beauty when drunk in with fine
company & plenty of tea XXX

The Secret Garden belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and The Word Tree

Heaven,
is a green place
awash with every shade
from fizzy lime
to dark juniper leaf
hidden
like all the best secrets
behind a thorny hedge
and timbered wall

I have seen
Angels there
floating above the
shining leaves
multicoloured petals
in place of feathered wings
Ballerina poppies
tall spindly stems
twirling their scarlet tutus
pirouetting on the
summer wind

Always,
I sit there in silence
learning what it is
to listen,
to truly hear
the music of the garden
It’s humming chorus,
happy tune of life
from the sleepy bumble
snoring
in the sunflowers
to the sun-bleached cat
purring
watching
baby birds
chatter
in the trees above

Peaceful little haven
separate
from the outside world
honeytrap
for the last few rays of evening sun
There you will find her,
the Gardener
sitting, drinking in the greenery
when all her work is done
enjoying
a hard earned cup of tea
dreaming
of a new seasons blooms
planning their births
from the planting

She smiles,
a beautific, secret smile
for she is the beloved keeper
of our Heaven
and it’s million shades of
fragrant painted colours
and rain misted greens

Aw thank you very much Rex. It’s a special wee corner away from the grey of suburbia! My mum is an artist, her medium, plants and flowers lol. Thanks for stopping by : )
